Aug-23-64. Filmed from the audience by a newsreel crew, the camera occasionally pans across the audience to fully document Beatlemania at its peak. As John mentions, their current record is “A Hard Day’s Night” and indeed the film had premiered in the U.S. only two weeks earlier. George generously utilizes his Rickenbacker 12 string. Songs include: “Twist and Shout,” “You Can’t Do That,” “All My Loving,” “She Loves You,” “Things We Said Today,” “Roll Over Beethoven,” “Boys,” “A Hard Day’s Night” and “Long Tall Sally.” The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl!

HOLLYWOOD STAR NEWSREEL – BEATLES IN HOLLYWOOD
LAX airport arrival footage; tons of teenagers besiege the airport; a disorganized airport press conference follows. Questions fly at the Fabs left and right. When asked when they plan to get haircuts John says, “You’ve seen the Stones haven’t you?” But Paul, ever the diplomat quickly counters with, “We do get haircuts.” Brian Epstein whispers to John who then mocks an American accent and tells Paul it’s time to go. CINNAMON CINDER PRESS CONFERENCE
Hollywood youth nightclub the Cinnamon Cinder hosts another press conference, this one hosted by Bob Eubanks who also promoted the Hollywood Bowl show and owns the Cinnamon Cinder. The lads are asked to comment on a quotes saying that the Beatles are destroying teenagers. Paul says he wants to meet Jayne Mansfield—John gives a devilish smile. The lads get asked who their rock & roll idols are and what they think of Barry Goldwater. More!
